HYDROPONIC and REFU join forces in a collaboration that brings together skateboarding, mountain culture, craft beer and a very similar way of looking at things. With 25 years of history in skate and streetwear culture, HYDROPONIC has built its identity around creativity, community and collaborations. Over the years, the brand has worked with well-known names such as MONTANA COLORS, CERVEZAS MORITZ, SMOKING and the iconic CLIPPER lighters. Now, that list welcomes a new partner: REFU.
REFU is a craft brewery born in the Vall d’Aran, where it has been brewing craft beer since 2010. The project started in the lower part of Baqueira and has grown while staying true to a philosophy based on beer culture, friendship, camaraderie and a strong connection to the local territory and the mountains. From this meeting comes a collection of three HYDROPONIC x REFU skateboard decks, each one inspired by one of the brewery’s most representative beers: LEGZIRA, HUXLEY and 20 MINUTOS.
LEGZIRA represents REFU’s lighter and more refreshing side. This gluten-free Blonde Ale, with 4% ABV and 20 IBU, was inspired by a trip to Legzira Beach in Morocco. Pale golden in colour, it offers floral aromas with subtle citrus notes, a light body, a balanced mix of malty and citrus flavours and a very gentle bitterness on the finish. A beer created to refresh after physical activity and an excellent introduction to the world of craft beer.
