HYDROPONIC and REFU join forces in a collaboration that brings together skateboarding, mountain culture, craft beer and a very similar way of looking at things. With 25 years of history in skate and streetwear culture, HYDROPONIC has built its identity around creativity, community and collaborations. Over the years, the brand has worked with well-known names such as MONTANA COLORS, CERVEZAS MORITZ, SMOKING and the iconic CLIPPER lighters. Now, that list welcomes a new partner: REFU.
REFU is a craft brewery born in the Vall d’Aran, where it has been brewing craft beer since 2010. The project started in the lower part of Baqueira and has grown while staying true to a philosophy based on beer culture, friendship, camaraderie and a strong connection to the local territory and the mountains. From this meeting comes a collection of three HYDROPONIC x REFU skateboard decks, each one inspired by one of the brewery’s most representative beers: LEGZIRA, HUXLEY and 20 MINUTOS.
HUXLEY is REFU’s tribute to Steve Huxley, one of the key pioneers of the craft beer movement in Spain. Inspired by classic British styles, this Best Bitter with 4.1% ABV and 31 IBU has a distinctive copper colour with reddish highlights, aromas of caramel and toffee, a light body, low carbonation, cereal notes and subtle roasted nuances, finishing dry. A beer made to be enjoyed slowly while letting the conversation flow.
Three beers. Three decks. Two independent brands brought together by the passion for doing things their own way.
